RACE WARS VOLUME II

Most people who know me, know I'm not really a black power type of dude. I am very critical of black people and I love to challenge them. However, my race war blog will make me seem a bit "Pro Black!".

Anyway, Race Wars II has to do with my disdain for black men with white women. Yes, if you know me at all, you know I have had my fair share of white women, but my mentality is different (reference Race Wars I). The problem I have with BM and WW stems from the mentality I believe some black men have as a result of marrying or being with a WW. They feel as if they have reached the pinnacle of success and are accomplished as a result of having a white lady. In other words, they equate success to having a white woman. That annoys me like you wouldn't believe and I'm insulted for black men and black women. Some men feel like that affirms them much more so than a black lady, I personally find that a little offensive.

I spoke about my feelings on why I couldn't see myself with a white girl, but I know ppl love who you love. However, I'm an honest dude and I will say when I see a black guy with a white girl, it bothers me a lot more than when I see a black girl with a white dude.

Allow me to paint this picture............

Black guy grew up in a predominantly white surrounding his whole life that's what he likes because of personal preference and what he has been exposed to. In this situation, you do what you know, and you like who likes you! The way that person grew up, I understand what it is.

Black guy grows up around everyone and likes both races equally and marries a white girl. I question it because his reasoning could be suspect. You have dealt with black and white girls, I feel like you can find a nice sister to hold you down, but maybe just maybe, you have always just had a better relationship with the white ladies, we can call that a "Push" (Casino Term).

Black guy grows up around black ppl his whole life but is now getting money whether it be corporate or athlete money and he marries a white girl, I really question this. What the fuck is that about?? I have a bunch of white friends that i love dearly, but it bothers me that people still believe that this is ok. Im not Pro Woman, but sisters do put up with a lot of our shyt when we are on the come up an then to just jump ship because you feel "white is right" infuriates me a lil bit. Im not saying dont love who you love, but love where you are from First and foremost. Dont be ashamed of who you are or where you are from. You are who you are because you came from where you came. Own it!!!

I have no problem with it...do you. However, if you're doing it because you "can't stand black women" then I have a problem with it, for how dare you put down your own race?

OK! SO..I agree with you on the brothers who were products of their environments...and YES, I smh head at the brother that "got on and left your ass for a white girl" the mind set that they've "arrived" and choose to leave behind every sister who, out of Love; held them down and dealt w/ a whole lot of their egotistical BS while on they were on the come up sickens me! As a matter of fact,

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR HIM: Looking down at your own Race and Praising another because you think you've made it & you're now worthy of their presence in your life on a significant level is IGNORANT and it just shows how uncomfortable you are in your own Skin... talk to a shrink about it or something..

But what about the Guy who's had both? and chose a WW over a BW?? Can we really say he hasn't merely followed his heart? And honestly when it comes to matters of the Heart it really does have no color,no height, no weight...simply because it's Pure. and if you choose to let things like color get in the way of that love are you Keeping it real with your self??

So I ask: Could or would you marry a BW just cus you feel that its "right" knowing you're in Love with a WW (or some other race)... If selling out is so frowned upon, do you think some Black Men are not being true to themselves cus they're too busy keeping it "real" by being w/ a BW?

I LOVE my Black Men, but I would NEVER want Anyone to be with me because they think it's "right"....

I just read Rosie's comment and literally was like AMEN! Preach boo!

Definitely no respect for the guy who used to only date black chicks, then fell into an abundance of bread and felt that he could only be with white chicks all of a sudden. What is he insinuating? Negro please...

Can't knock the guys in your other examples though ... even the one you think is suspect -- the Push dude. He may just get along better with WW rather than BW! Why is his reasoning suspect?

I feel you on this one. I just wrote a similar bog about the movie "Something New." I so want to marry a black man, but if I fall in love with someone from another race I will follow my heart.

I do sometimes think our attraction to our same race has more to do with having something in common then the color of the skin. I have met very few people of other races that I can chill with on that level.

I do have a problem when you generalize and refuse to date a certain race just because of the color of their skin.

Black men are beautiful and there are great ones out there despite what news, society, and people say.

I do think when men date white women for the status symbol they are missing out in the long run even if they do not want to admit it to themselves or others.

BW with WM didn't used to raise my brow until I started hearing my sisters speak the same rubbish/hate/bitterness that we've heard from some BM dating WM.

BM with WW always gets an initial eye brow raise. I'm still a bit tense about some of the stuff I've heard from some of them. Ultimately, I, like the others, say LOVE above all else. And since I don't know every couples individual heart- they ultimately get the benefit of the doubt.

What ticks me is when I hear the phrase from BM or BW that ALL the BW/M I've dated are (---add negative superlative here---).

My thought WHY BLAME AN ENTIRE GROUP FOR YOUR POOR DATING CHOICES!!!

I wont marry a black girl to keep up any status quo ... i will marry a black girl because i play for the home team. I like away games, but but i love the home court advantage.

PS ... i dont think i could fall in love with a white woman (preview Race Wars I). Sometimes i think that is a little backwards, b/c i consider myself pretty forward thinking, but it is what it is. Some things i like, some things i dont. Im attracted to all kinds of women, but i couldnt marry any kind of woman. Thats just me!

I said he is a push, b/c he could be loving for the right reason or the wrong reason, but their is not enough evidence to cast any big stones at him, just some some small pebbles.

It just goes back to my concept of the Home team. If you have been exposed to both, i think that you should and would naturally go for the Home team. Im not judging if you are with a white girl, but I sure do have an opinion.

I do think many guys look real short term in many aspects of their life, and this is nooo different. SMFH!!

Huh. See this is why I love reading blogs because it's always good to see someone else's perspective. It honestly never crossed my mind that a BM would marry a WW for status or anything along those lines. I'm not black and I'm not a guy, so I guess I don't have any experience to speak from, but I'm surprised at that theory. Huh. Pretty unromantic...

Very unromantic!

This is a very sad thing, and its really not fair to WW either. Because not only are the BM lookin down upon their own race of ladies, but they are not looking at a WW as a lover but a status symbol. So its bad for everyone involved. Even if this is difficult for some to believe, i know its an actal fact that some BM do this and think this way. Very disturbing!

I agree...but what about Black Men who marry for "style" not "status"? I personally feel like black women are out of style in the eyes of many men.
Our Latina sisters are on the rise people.
A lot of girlfriends and wives are starting to look alike, and they damn sure don't look like me...they look like Rosario Dawson.

I think guys are just trying to "keep up with the Jones'".

I can most definately appreciate your love for Home Court Advantage
-Trust!! But sometimes some of the Most Significant Wins happen during away games...keep an open Mind/heart...thats all I'm saying...

those people who say bm / bw i have dated (insterte negative statement here) and i only like wm/ww who are simular to the gay/bi women who say i dont want to mess with men anymore so now they fhuk with women. They are mixed up, and get sucked in by the way the "others" treat them b/c they have to do a little bit extra to get you to play on their team. Ill elaborate if you dont get what im saying, but an older man tries harder to get a young woman, a black guys tries harder to get a white woman, a girl tries harder to get a girl when she is used to men. The "others" always try harder to attract someone who is not like them.

I personall dont see how they think that spanish women are badder than black women, but that just goes to my personal preference. I do think that is kinda craazy also

Naaa, i dont believe that. I think that you learn a lot about your team when you are away, but most significant wins?? Not So Much! Its away, its not my hometown, not my home crowd, not my fans in the stands. I more comfortable at home, and i know what my home team requires and wants from me.

My mind is always open, i dont have to be open to playing for the other team to be open minded. I dont believe there is anything the competition could offer me that my team couldnt. So if im happy with where i am, then this is all the option i need.
