Rupert Murdoch vs. Al Sharpton (and others)

There has been rumblings and arguments in the last few days about this "Monkey" Cartoon. Now I as do most people found that to be highly offensive, Very Insensitive, Extremely disrespectful, and borderline Racist. HOWEVER ... all this talk of people should be fired and the gov't should step in is absolutely absurd!!!

Just in case everyone forgot, this is a "great" country because an idiot like that has the right to print and say what he wants. You got one and a half apologies out of him, you can boycott him, you can protest against him. But No One has the right to fire him! We have all said some offensive things, especially about the Ex President, but just b/c he was disliked and Obama is soo loved, does not mean talking about Bush is ok, and Obama isnt. Im not saying the jokes ppl said about Bush is equal to the disrespect put forth in that cartoon. However, just like you had the right to post it in your blogs and run in your papers, this Idiot Murdoch has the same exact rights. Be careful of what you ask for, b/c the law is the law for a reason.

Obama addressing Congress Tonight...

He is addressing congress and the Nation not only on the stimulus plan he has put forth but also, Health care and Energy tonight at 9pm Eastern!

The Republicans have been giving old boy a really hard time with this stimulus plan, but it seems like their plan is working against them. Cool as Fan Obama has a very good approval rate right now or over 60% and the country seems to be down on the Republicans they have an approval of a little over 20%

Im thinking ... This is just a thought, but how about they try less at their attempts to destroy everything this man puts forth, and maybe just maybe try to do something constructive with their time come up with their own ideas, or at least TRY to seem civil. But who am I?? Im no Politician, i only know what MSNBC and FOX News tells me.

I hope I don't offend many readers (but if I do, so be it, that means I'm probably talking about you) but I'm fucking tired of this "as black ppl we are obligated to behave better or act different for Obama!" Just because he is President does not motivate me to be a better person or go out and do something productive with my life. If you were waiting on black president to be a useful fucking citizen, then you never really intended on being one! The unfathomable happened on Nov. 4th, and if you thought this was sooo possible in your immediate future you wouldn't be this fucking excited you fucking losers!! So enough with the us black ppl have an obligation to Obama to better ourselves and make changes in our lives bullshyt! As proud as I am of the young homie for being president, I don't owe that motherfucka shyt! Obama doesn't define me nor do I have an obligation to the black race to do anything different in my life because our President is black.

I wasn't waiting on Obama to be a better person, I grew up always wanting change and always trying to better myself. If you were a loser before Obama got into office you will be a loser while he is in office! You think Obama was waiting on a black president to motivate himself? No! Obama in the White House does not change my life a whole lot, maybe I can get some better Health care, maybe I can gas up the truck for under 300 per week, maybe i can have a story for my grand kids about the historic inauguration i attended, but that's really about it. 95% of my life is going to remain the same, so please you annoying waste of sperm motherfuckas, STFU and get a fucking life!

(as a black person) Obama being president should make you proud and give your kids something to aspire towards, but because he is president does not mean that I'm gonna get a cab any easier in nYc, does not mean that white lady isn't going to tug at her purse when she walks by me in the street, and surely does not mean that I'm going to get a job any faster over Bill, Bob, or even Beth.

I owe it to myself to be a productive and useful citizen, not Obama, and definitely not black people! So if you're talking that we as a people need to be better for Obama, you're a fuckin poser, you prob didn't vote in the primaries, or any prior elections, get a fuckin life LOSERS!!!!

Let me first begin by saying Tue November 4th 2008 was a tremendously happy and proud day for me as a black man who takes his citizenship and his right to vote very seriously! I'm excited at the fact that a black man could unite this country in a way that is reminiscent to MLK and JFK in their era! I'm proud to have cast my ballot for Barack Obama, and I'm proud to be a part of history!

That being said, i was not as elated as most African Americans were because as my friends and peers tell me, I'm a HATER! As proud as i am that President Elect Obama was my choice for President on Nov. 4th, I'm also equally as proud the Hilary Clinton was my choice in the Primary, I'm also equally as proud that John Kerry was my choice 4 years ago. My problem is with these fair weather voters that only voted one b/c he is a black man, and 2. Expect me to do the same and say that i should be ashamed b.c i voted for Hillary in the Primaries.

Unfortunately, i don't look at voting as the cool thing to do like some of you might, i don't buy albums b/c they are played on the radio all day, i don't like trends because they are trendy, I have always prided myself in making my own decisions for my own good reasons. The mantra in my high school has stuck with me to this day (in a world that expects you to fit in, we teach you to stand out). How dare you say why did i vote for Hilary? How dare you say there was no one worth your vote last year?(all that means is you voted for Bush) If you were so disgusted with President Bush, why didn't you do something to stop him from getting into office! (an ounce of prevention is better than a ton of cure).

Now, I was a little annoyed that people were voting for Barack just b/c he was black, but a friend of mine made a perfectly good point to me a few weeks ago, and i think that it was VERY VALID!
Someone asked "are you voting for Barack just because he is black?" and the person responded, Yes i am, because there are people out there NOT voting for him because he is black, so I'm just here to balance the scale! That was a very very good point!!! So my problem does not lie with those who voted for color, my problem is with those who want to scream get out of Office Bush, people who sent me those 10,000 text messages on the morning and day before election day telling me to get up and go vote! Where the Fhuk were you four years ago? If you didn't want George Bush as President why didn't you get up and Vote for John Kerry? Because he is not Black he couldn't do anything to help your cause and a middle class American?? Don't fhukin tell me to go vote when you are in your 30's and your just voting for the 1st time, your opinion means absolutely nothing to me! Where were you 4 yrs ago? Where were you 8 yrs ago? and if your old enough, did you even vote for Clinton, one of the best Presidents we have every had, or was he not black so not worth your vote?? Even if every year you vote for a Democrat because that is your party and you know your party has your best interest in mind that is better than not voting because "you don't like any of those white guys" STFU!!! that is some of the most ignorant shyt i have ever heard, and ignorance annoys me very much!

I'm proud of the campaign that President Obama ran, I'm proud of the message that he has portrayed to the public, I'm proud that so many people believed that he could do for this country what is needed, but what I'm not proud of is the fair weather people that don't care about any of that, didn't watch one debate, don't know any of the things he stands for and cant tell me one thing about Obama other than he is "the BLACK president" how about is "the RIGHT president"

Yes Yes Yes Yes, I'm elated an proud that my president is BLACK, but I'm more proud that the right man finally got the job that has been in the wrong man's hands for 8 Damn Years!!!!
