SHOULD I TOUCH HER????

AND I DONT MEAN SEXUALLY ....

So this question has been haunting, well not haunting, but on my mind recently. I want to know when is it, or is it ever ok to put your hands on a female?

Contemporary wisdom says never, its never ok to put your hands on a female, but I have seen and heard some things recently that have made me question this. I myself do not advocate any violence towards women, however i also dont condone women who get out of pocket and do too much. If you want to act like a dude, then dont you deserve the treatment a dude would get??

I myself can honestly say that i have put my hand on a women once ... kinda twice. Elementary school bully wanted to take my lunch and i had to punch her in her fat ass stomach and let her know that wasnt going down. Also recently, i had a situation in the club that i was not proud of, but damn sure not ashamed of or didnt feel i was wrong. The latter was less of a hit, and kind of a disrespectful snuff.

Anyway, if a woman hits you, are you not supposed to defend yourself or retaliate? If you walk in on her doing something / someone and it aint you is he wrong to swing? If a dude comes out his face and disrespects you are is it not ok to knock his ass out? Then why is it not ok to do the same to a chick? If you want to call people out their name screaming on the top of your lungs and being wild disrespectful, why cant i knock your ass out?

They say a dude who hits a woman is a punk, but a dude who sits back and takes disrespect is what? An Adult? A grown up? The bigger person? Is it ever ok, and if feel like your actions were ok (justified) in doing it, should you say sorry??

I do not think a woman should ever be hit. I think more and more women are acting a fool...and yes they give men reason to hit them, but men just need to walk away. It use to be a point in time where it was easy to say walk away....now women do all kind of crazy shit and push men to that point. If a woman pushes a man to that point and he hits her...doesn't make it right, but I understand.

Ok, so contemporary wisdom does says it isn't right to hit a woman. Yes, I agree. But I do believe that in certain sittuations when you are genuinely defending your self it isn't frowned upon as much. I have a friend who doesn't have a history of violence with women who found himself in a sittuation with the mother of his child. It was a classic case of baby mama vs the new chick. She came over his house for one thing, got out of line about something else, started addressing him and his new girl in an "outlandish tone" and attacked them both.He tried telling her to leave several times, she refused then proceeded to remove shoes and attempted to use them as weapons...needless to say he got a little impatient and his aggrivation lead to him snuffing her, hard. Hard enough that it caused her to trip and fall against the wall and left a bruise. He was minding his business in his house. How could he have walked away in this sittuation? I don't condone it, or encourage it but I certainly understand. But just be clear no apologies are going to get you out of it after it's done, whether you initiated it or not.

no excuse . . . unless the woman is really trying to harm you and ur life is threatened. whats wrong with restraining her? why u gotta throw the next punch even if she is wrong. a man is much bigger and stronger so there is really no excuse for a man to put his hands on a female

Unless it's a matter of life or death, a woman shouldn't be hit by a man.

Being Nigerian,I think I've seen and heard of it all at this point...back home it's very common for husbands/boyfriends to hit their significant others from time to time with lil to no repercusion...but I've obviously subscribed to the American culture of not touching a woman no matter what...but in extreme situations like the one Rosie B described...it's very understandable for a dude to just loose it and go ape sh*t...lol

That's what I was trying to find out. I know its not or should not be your default reaction to dissapointment or anger, but when is there a time where you feel like you can't look me in my face and honestly feel like I'm dead wrong for my actions. I'm not looking for validation, I validate all my actions myself and deal with the consequences accordingly, but just wanted to know when that time was

I'm with you! If you get out of pocket, be prepared to pay that fee once you take that hand out your pocket

I never actually said throw a punch. I said put ya hands on maybe snuff. I dnt think you ever have to really close fist punch a chick.

But what is your definintion if restrain?? Hold her down?? Then she tries to kick you in ya nuts! Squeeze her tight, the she tries ti bite you! Back hand her, then she cries bloodly murder. So by my definition there can very well be a reason to put your hands on a female (notice I didn't say lady as some people might try to say)

Does it have to be a matter of life or death for a female to hit a female?? A male ot hit a male?? Or a Female to hit a male?

If no to any of these why would the justification for those others work just as well.

It seems at times, Women scream equality when it suits them, and I'm a woman when it doesn't. Which is it??

That point... I honestly can not answer that. I think it is such a thin line. It is like a commercial I have heard, you know when you have way too much to drink, but when do you know you have one too many? I think there is a line that you cross, but it is not a concrete line.

Oh...and the more I read about the Rihanna/Chris Brown situation. If the rumors are true...to me it would of been one of those situations that I spoke about...does not make it right, but I understand.

Call me old school when it comes to this, but I don't find it acceptable for a man to hit a woman, unless his life is on the line.

I personally feel as though men and women are different...yes, women can do the things that men can, yet we're still woman, and not man. Our strengths are different, and the most visible one being physical strength. That's why women can't play sports with men, compete with men in genearal due to the physical difference, not to mention the structure of the man's body is very different from that of the woman's.

I say punch her in the gut!

I mean, don't get me wrong, in no way do I condone hitting a woman, but some women just ask for it on their own accord.

I know women, that know they have no backbone to go toe to toe with another chic, but will talks smack to a dude harder than they would another chic, for the simple fact that they know/believe that don't won't hit them. They will push this dude past his breaking point, because they know/believe that if dude hits them, he knows he'll be punished for it, be it arrested or beat down from her brothers or so forth. I say to those women, punch them in the gut, let them feel it. My grandmother used to always say, if you don't hear, you will feel. And she meant that for everyone. So why not? But whatever you do, be prepared, that there will be repercussions and hell to pay the next day, either with the "po-po" or big brothers/cousins.

By the way, I don't condone violence of any kind, but in some case I do understand that it may be warranted at times!!!

A man should not put his hands on a woman, just as a woman shouldn't be putting her hands on a man. Why can't people (especially broads -- cuz most of the time they think the dude won't hit them back) keep their hands to themselves?? I just don't understand...

i.e. - She finds out he's cheating... she starts wildin'... kicking and screamin (funny movie btw), cursing, slapping... now some dudes would just restrain the chick, but trust you'll find those occasional dudes that'll hit you right back - and wake you the fuck up.

I don't condone it, but sometimes I understand. I really do. Women provoke men a lot and think they can get away with it.
